On Netflix's brilliant series Mindhunter, they look at the origin of what today is known as the FBI's the Behavioral Analysis Unit, formerly known as the Behavior Science Unit. The main characters of the show, Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallyany), are based on real FBI agents Robert Ressler and John Douglas, who interviewed multiple murders when forming the BSU.
